Tafer timeshare refers to the vacation ownership division of Tafer Hotels & Resorts which is a Mexican company which owns in part or in full hotels and resorts across Mexico, including hotels developed and operated by the VillaGroup. Tafer Hotels & Resorts is the majority owner of 8 out of 9 Villa Group resorts with more than 30 years experience in the business during which time its owners and executives have provided quality accommodation, great customer service, and unique experiences to customers from the USA, Canada, Europe and around the world. This is a company which encompasses all aspects of hospitality from hotel design to resort management and concept design.

Currently, Tafer’s timeshare brands include Garza Blanca Residence Club and Club Caribe, as well as Villa Preferred Access and UVCI as part of the Villa Group’s timeshare provision.

Tafer and the Villa Group

Tafer Hotels & Resorts represents one of the founding owners and operators of the Villa Group and is currently the majority owner of 8 out of 9 Villa Group resorts. Tafer is the majority owner of Villa del Mar, Villa del Palmar Puerto Vallarta, Villa del Palmar Flamingos, Villa La Estancia Riviera Nayarit, Villa del Palmar Cabo, Villa del Arco (Cabo) and Villa La Estancia Cabo, and is the full owner of Villa del Palmar Cancun Luxury Beach Resort & Spa. All of these resorts except for the Villa La Estancia brand offer timeshare opportunities. Villa La Estancia offers full and fractional real estate.

Tafer Hotels & Resorts owns and operates Garza Blanca Resort & Spa in Puerto Vallarta, Hotel Mousai Puerto Vallarta, Sierra Lago Resort & Spa near Mascota and the Sian Ka’an Village.

How it all began

It all began with Villa Group’s Villa del Mar in Puerto Vallarta when the Villa Group Resorts acquired its first property in the late 1980s, and then set up the Villa del Palmar after the Villa del Mar enjoyed success. The Villa del Palmar in Puerto Vallarta did so well that they then decided to open the brand in the luxurious vacation hotspot of Cabo san Lucas where the second Villa del Palmar resort opened along with the Villa del Arco and Villa La Estancia Cabo resorts.

Soon development began in Nuevo Vallarta, close to Puerto Vallarta with The Villa del Palmar Flamingos resort, named after the neighborhood in which it was built, and then the Villa La Estancia hotel and residences soon followed. The latest Tafer owned Villa del Palmar resort was opened in Cancun.

During this time Tafer’s owner began to develop the lakeside boutique resort of Sierra Lago which can be found in the Sierra Madre Mountains near the town of Mascota, Jalisco. At first this retreat had only a few cabins, but it now has a full complement of luxurious accommodations, two restaurants, sports courts, a games room, a heated pool, and an outdoor chapel.

Garza Blanca and Hotel Mousai

After the success experienced by the Villa Group, the owner of Tafer went on to develop a new brand of luxury resorts and timeshare products aimed at those who travel the world frequently and like to do it in style. The Garza Blanca Resort and Spa sits in its own 85 acre nature reserve which spans from Puerto Vallarta’s South Shore along the coastline. This 5 star brand of hotels is aimed at families and groups of friends, but caters to wedding parties and business delegations too when the occasion calls for it. The Garza Blanca Preserve in Puerto Vallarta, however, also has a sister hotel on the preserve. The Hotel Mousai is one of the only 5 diamond resorts in the country, and is for adults only.

Tafer Timeshare in the future

Tafer timeshare will continue to be offered in more top destinations in Mexico with Garza Blanca resorts planned for Los Cabos and Cancun in 2018 and a resort in Riviera Maya scheduled to start construction by the end of 2018.
