Paradise is how most people describe the Cancun beaches:  astounding turquoise horizons with gorgeous natural beauty awaiting every adventurous beach lover.  If you are searching for the top beaches of Cancun, here are those that occupy the first five positions.

Top 5 Cancun Beaches

Playa Forum

Also known as Playa Gaviota Azul; Playa Forum is found in Punta Cancun at the back of Coco Bongo Nightclub, A much publicized party night spot.  It hosts a variety of beach activities where you can meet new faces and gain new friends.  A social spot, especially during the weekends where most tourists hang out casually.  A little elegance can be added to your one hot afternoon if you decide to visit the popular Mandala Beach Club.

Playa Delfines

The home of many jet skiers, parasailers, snorkelers and even the not so ordinary sea birds like the pelicans.  Considered as one of the area’s largest, its waters are famed because of its deep blue waters and clear visibility.  The Iberostar Cancun Resort is located here, so it can get a bit overcrowded.

Playa Chac Mool

Though it has a good center position, Playa Chac Mool is not much visited like that of its neighboring beach, the Playa Forum.  But just the same the quality of sand and waters has nothing more to be desired:  white, powder- like sand and clear waters dominate its seascape.  The popular choice for those who needs silence and peace, where you can simply lay on its grounds without the usual hustle and bustle of a crowded beach.

Playa Tortugas

A beachfront restaurant, a gorgeous marina and a chance to have that exciting bungee jump atop a bungee tower.  It’s a complete family place with waters that are calm because of the absence of waves. There’s everything that every family member can ask for: adventure activity, a safe beach for swimming and fine gastronomy.  Seafood dishes are put in the limelight here and it will satisfy cravings of any seafood searchers.

North Beach on Isla Mujeres

It’s Isla Mujeres pride.  The North Beach or the Playa Norte is located just a stone through away from the busy hotel zone of Cancun and is easily navigable by foot.  The lively beach bars are a far contrast to its quiet waters that are tranquil and shallow, but combines harmoniously to give beach lovers the best of both worlds.  You can go swimming peacefully in its waveless sea and have a raucous party afterwards.  You can even have a glimpse of the marvelous setting sun losing itself to the wide ocean.
