When compiling a list of the very best Mexican beach resorts, USA today had their work cut out for them. With so many great new hotels to choose from for 2015, here is a summary of the resorts recommended by USA TODAY travel with my own opinions added to their recommendations.
For Complete Luxury
Hotel Mousai in Puerto Vallarta is a brand new lifestyle hotel in Banderas Bay, Mexico. Paving the way for a new generation of hotels in the area, Hotel Mousai is one of the few adult-only hotels in Puerto Vallarta. Luxury junior suites with private jacuzzis on each terrace, contemporary design and artistic flair, common areas that are like art galleries and a Spa where you will be flying high with the clouds – this is one of the most lavish hotels in Puerto Vallarta. Experiences and inspiration are the motto of this hotel, which a host of free original activities to choose from too. In addition, Hotel Mousai is located with the grounds of the Garza Blanca Preserve resort, so you also get access to all the additional facilities too.
For Large Families
The Generations resort in the Riviera Maya is undoubtedly the one of the best family resorts; a new addition to the Karisma hotels & resorts family, this all-inclusive resort has ten suite categories. 144 of these offer the option of a private plunge pool, or swim up option; perfect for those families with kids who like to be active first thing in the morning. There’s also the Eko Kids Club where children are supervised at all times; this means that mom and dad get a relaxing afternoon by the pool complete with peace of mind. Fussy eaters will be appeased by the fact that eating arrangements can be customized before arrival at the restaurant.
For Something Different
The Hard Rock Hotel in the Riviera Maya delivers an alternative experience. The resort is massive, boasting a staggering 1264 guest rooms (all of which are impeccably decorated and presented), and has a large number of great amenities to make your stay as memorable as possible. You will find that the usual (signature) collection of rock ‘n’ roll memorabilia can be found on the walls of the resort, and that the common areas of the hotel will generally be playing some really great rock hits throughout the day. This hotel is the ultimate vacation spot for the alternative, the stylish, and those who want paradise with a little touch of attitude.
For Island Living
Those in search of the ultimate luxurious vacation will find that island life suites them to a T. When you stay at Zoëtry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres, you’ll kick start your vacation with a 30 minute ride over from the mainland on a private yacht. The Zoëtry Villa Rolandi Isla Mujeres is a small, but perfectly formed, resort which has only 35 suites. This means that all guests are given the royal treatment; a free 20 minute massage, complimentary Bvlgari bath products and unlimited calls to anywhere in the world all come as standard with your stay.
Any one of these resorts will give you a vacation experience to remember for the rest of your life.
